Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 6:00pm

Reports To: Design Director / Senior Management
About the Role
We are seeking a creative, detail-driven, and experienced Architect to join our growing in-house team at our Oxfordshire office. The role involves taking residential and light commercial projects from concept through to planning, technical design, and construction. You’ll work closely with clients, planning authorities, consultants, and our internal project management and structural engineering teams to deliver high-quality, buildable designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architectural design on residential and mixed-use projects, from concept to completion
- Prepare planning drawings, building regulation packages, and detailed construction drawings
- Liaise with clients to understand their vision, budget, and requirements
- Collaborate with structural engineers, M&E consultants, and project managers to develop coordinated, practical solutions
- Submit and manage planning applications and appeals, ensuring compliance with local planning policies
- Conduct site visits, surveys, and inspections to monitor design implementation and resolve issues
- Produce clear and concise drawing sets using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit (as applicable)
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, local authorities, contractors, and suppliers
- Stay up to date with current building regulations, material innovations, and design best practices
- Work within agreed timelines and budgets, delivering design packages on schedule
Qualifications & Skills Required
- ARB registered Architect (essential)
- Minimum 2–5 years post-Part III experience
- Strong portfolio demonstrating design flair and technical ability across UK-based projects
- Proficient in AutoCAD; Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite are highly desirable
- Thorough knowledge of UK Building Regulations, planning processes, and construction standards
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
- Comfortable working both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
